Pooja Tandon, MD

Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Tandon is a board-certified psychiatrist who brings warmth, experience, and individualized care to every patient she serves. Known for her thoughtful, empathetic approach, she partners with individuals to navigate life’s emotional challenges and achieve greater mental and emotional well-being with confidence.

Her passion for psychiatry was sparked during medical school, when she worked closely with a selectively mute child—a moment that revealed the depth and complexity of the human mind and its influence on our lives. That early experience laid the foundation for a career rooted in compassion, curiosity, and commitment. Her dedication deepened through personal experience as well, especially her father’s journey with Parkinson’s disease and related dementia, which inspired her to specialize in geriatric psychiatry.

Dr. Tandon works with adults of all ages, including older adults and caregivers, addressing a broad range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, mood disorders, and cognitive decline. With clinical experience across outpatient, inpatient, and long-term care settings, she is uniquely positioned to provide continuity of care that adapts to each stage of life.

She is deeply committed to a collaborative, patient-centered model of care. Dr. Tandon takes time to understand your unique story, listens without judgment, and works alongside you to create a thoughtful, effective treatment plan tailored to your specific goals. Her approach is conservative and evidence-based, integrating medical and psychological perspectives while also supporting caregivers and families through education and guidance.

Dr. Tandon maintains a compassionate presence, clear communication, and genuine investment in your well-being. She believes mental health care should feel personal, supportive, and empowering.

In her personal life, Dr. Tandon lives by the philosophy of “practice what you preach.” She prioritizes time with her family, embraces personal growth, and finds joy in new challenges—whether hiking in nature or learning a musical instrument.

Whether you’re facing a new diagnosis, navigating a life transition, managing ongoing symptoms, or simply seeking clarity and support, Dr. Tandon is here to help you move forward—one thoughtful step at a time.
